The Revolt of Caesar

In 46 BC, Caesar readied his legions for a similar winter crossing of the straights between Sicily and North Africa. While Mattelis Scipio had gathered somewhere between 10 and 14 legions, Caesar once again charged into the belly of the beast completely outnumbered. Bigger to make the crossing and establish a beachhead under Scipio's radar, Caesar set out from Sicily with but one legion. His men were overjoyed to see land appear on the horizon, but were horrified when they saw Caesar disembark onto the shores of Africa.
