In May of 2020, Aaron Carroll was considered to be one of the future partners of his firm. He says he had a Twitter account from his baseball days, a few hundred followers. By the end of that year, he'd probably grown it to like 75, 80,000 followers zero. "There was never a point in 2020 when I thought, oh, I'm going to quit my job and ... become a Twitter writer"
