Can I Control a Coin Flip?
People tend, on a deep gut level, to feel that they can control the world. And so here's just oneone experiment that showed that. This was done at yale university. The students were put in a room with an experimenter. They were 30 timesand after each coin flipp they were to make a guess as to whether the coin would heads or tails. Afterwards, the experimenters were m interested in investigating the student's attitude toward their ability to either control or foresee the future. For instance, would your performance be to be un hampered by distraction? And would your performance improve with practice? Very little deviation from the direct questionu but it worked.
