Hitters Are Swinging Too Much, Right?

In theory, hitters should be swinging at about a third of pitches and instead they're swinging at almost half of them. Just 33% of pitches had a higher context neutral expected run value on a swing compared to a take. In reality, the league swing rate was far higher at 48%. So it's really interesting. And I don't know whatI would wanna do if I were with a team because hitters wanna hit, right? Like they wanna swing.
