My Grandma Was a Catholic and I Grew Up in a Segregated World

My mom had a nervous breakdown and she was institutionalized the rest of her life. My grandma worked for this white family in Georgetown, D.C. She found a school a boarding school for me called St. Michael's School for Boys. The classes were very strict and rigorous that the classes were small so we got a lot of individual attention. I did everything from bail hay to pick apples of clean chicken coops during my time there.
