How Much Do We Know About Paul?

Paul is obviously a very familiar name and came up very regularly in sermons. How much do we know about the figure of Paul are rooted in historical fact or how much is maybe a myth that grew up around this persona? I think because Paul is so central like Jesus, the material that we get in his name and about him is every bit is complicated as unraveling the gospels. It's really important to sort that out.
