The advantages of a thromboelastogram over traditional coag's that you might send INR PTT PT fiber antigen numbers platelet numbers basically there's a place for both here. We're getting a very early picture of clot formation in terms of factor activity but not the interaction of the whole blood overall. In trauma in an bleeding patient it's nice to keep track of that numbers if you have a decreasing number of platelets even though you are bleeding and your MA looks good with no active hemorrhage.
