I don't think it's more than probably 10% of the population. What they fear from the throwing away of the hijab is not the loss of power and the women getting human rights. They fear that kids with their internet and videos will throw away everything that made this country hold together for millennia. I would agree with you in the sense that like everywhere else in the world, this is the generational thing.
