How to Train for a Distance Race
The second session depends a lot, like if your technique is quite good, then I do like to use a couple of blocks of via 2 max training. So something like 12 times 100 meters or 8 times 150 meters shooting for like 1 1 1 half to 3 or 4 minutes in duration for intros. The pace should be around your 400 meter time trial speed, so the best pace that you could hold for 400 meters That is roughly your via 2 max pace, so that is what you should shoot for in these intros. But as he said, those are some a few specific blocks that are likely for your 2 max and outside of those blocks You need to do something else.
