Why Target Isn't Making as Much Money Selling Long Furniture or TVS
Inflation has driven up food and energy prices, which is depleting the income that consumers have to buy these other items. And so after buying those more expensive necessities, the target customers simply don't have enough purchasing power left over to afford to buy those more expensive discretionary items. But in the future, target is not going to be carrying nearly as much inventory as it was in the past. Once they blow out this merchandise, what's left is going to be a lot more expensive.
