God Remembers Mercy and Justice

In the Old Testament, God remembers. He keeps remembering to be merciful even to this big family of Abraham who were more down than up but up and down all over the place. So what is that going to look like when we get to the New Testament? I find great solace in the idea that God remembers on the justice side for all the people who've done bad things to me or to people to whom I feel empathy or compassion.
