John and Perry Schafer have always had golden retrievers. They wanted to surprise their three daughters with a puppy for Christmas. The very first 10 minutes that we had him home, he took off into the woods. He could get out on a swimming pool floaty and hang out on the pool in the summertime. It was pretty remarkable.
