The Code Word for Racism in This Campaign
I believe firmly in nonviolence, but I still believe that it is the most potent weapon available to oppress people. When somebody hits us, we believe in self-defense. The code word for racism in this campaign has been the bus. It's not the bus; it's us. People white American leadership have the moral integrity and fortitude to stand by its own constitutional decisions. We can't stand still. But we must move with wisdom.
