How to Extract Uranium From a Mine

Once it's coming, once the uranium concentrate or once the uranium or comes out of the mine, it goes to a mill. And then that is dried and concentrated in the form of uranium tri-uranium octoxide or U308 which we know as yellow cake. Why yellow cake? Well, it happens to be yellow at that oxidation state. And then this is the substance that can cause panic. For example, occasionally here, you know, 50 pounds of yellow cake missing from such and such, just a few weeks ago, that caused a panic. I remember hearing about yellow cake for the first time in the run up to the Iraq war when it was used as one of the excuses
