The Sorceress and Tress
For most of the book, maybe 60 to 70%, Tress is kind of in control and taking the initiative. She has agency in the things that she does. The last 20 to 30% of the book are Tress learning that it's okay to accept help. That's an important character development lesson to do. It puts me in a weird place where I was expecting a confrontation between Tress and the sorceress.
