Sally Kohn: It just seems like the United States is uniquely incompetent in all manner of ways for reasons that I can't understand. She says there's a tension between competence and patronage, which has slowly eroded our ability to basically do things as a state. Kohn: The average French person is much poorer than the average American. And yet the French are able to provide the best arguably the best healthcare in the world at significantly reduced cost compared to the United States.
