Airbnb and the Death of the Country Pubs
Airbnb found that a lot of country pubs weren't quite getting the clientele they wanted. And so with Airbnb, we thought if we can inject a bit of funds into these pubs, then it feels like we could probably get some people out of the city and back to the Pubs. In doing so, bringing their tourism dollar in to spend at the pub and at that, at the surrounding town will just kind of help these little towns to stay alive. So we found, I think it was six pubs that we ended up working with and each of them got $50,000 and worked with their, a design and interior team to really spruce the place up. They each featured
