The Father of Mercies and God of All Comfort

Paul and Timothy are together when this letter is written, that's all that it really means here. This is a beautiful picture to me of what basically goes on in the life of any sort of ministry. Ministry begins by receiving the comfort that the father of mercies gives to us through Christ. And in that comfort that we receive then in turn is given to others that are under our care.
