Is Pokemon a Role Playing Game?

Pokimon is an entry level card game. Most video games in which you do not play yourself are technically role playing games. You could even venture that impro comedy is a type of role playing game, because you're playing different roles. These days, little kids take on roll playing almost as soon as they figure out language.
