#32 - The Boundaries of Self, with Jake Orthwein
Do Explain with Christofer Lövgren
What Do You Think of the Body as Information Processing?
i think it's coherent to talk about the mind as information processing, and therefore that we are not the physical substrait in which we're embodied. The other thing that i don't think is quite true is that what you are is confined to your head. And this connection between information processing and abstract propositional reasoning, or symbolic reasoning,. i think, is wrong. This has to do lika misconceptions about what computation is, and confusion about whether computation is formal sibmiiation or information processing or something else.
