Muppets at Moscow by Lance Rogoff

The first episode of Ulica Cezam aired on the 22nd of October, 1996. The cast represented ethnic minorities from across the former Soviet Union. While Lance Rogoff left the show in 1998, it continued to air for more than a decade. In 2010, no longer supported by Putin's people at the television networks, the street lamps on UlicA Cezam went dark. On a trip back to Moscow in early 2020, one of the original directors declared that he no longer had any hope for democracy in Russia in his lifetime.
