The Importance of Comfort in Politics

If you're someone who doesn't make politics their sole source of spectacleized identity, if it's not that important to you and you're looking at politics relatively casually like most voters do, you look like a weirdo. And the Democrats who don't talk about that stuff, except for a few people at the local level, you see very few national level Democrats making it their business to talk about the culture war stuff because they're afraid of it. But that has the benefit of creating this asymmetry that regular people are alienated by. So that means that the Republicans are probably going to have to do some sort of resolution of this crisis. The structure of the party is more and more held
