Pike's Expedition to the Sioux Village

The expedition would lead Prairie D'Shin on September 9th. Their next stop would be a Sioux village. Pike brought gifts to the Sioux, knives, tobacco, rum and salt. He also spoke of making peace between the Sioux and the Chippewaas. The federal government wanted peace, because that is what brought settlers and merchants and commerce.
