Ep 5 Carl Rogers (Person Centred Helping)
Talking To Change - A Motivational Interviewing Podcast
00:00
The Challenge of Being a Crisis Psychologist
Roger says we need to be as much of a human being when i'm in a councilling room with a client. And while i may have experience and expertise even that i can help the person with on specific issues, i'm not taking the role an expert. To me, it gets almost pretty radical. If sing we need to deal with our own stuff first. Right now, none of us are going to be perfect human beings,. but i know that as a therapist, when i'm going through really challenging times of my life, it's not that i can't provide good therapy, but it takes more work.
