How to Measure a Long or Short QTC Interval

QTC is correcting the QT interval for how fast the heart rate is. Electrolyte abnormalities obviously can affect various intervals that we've just been talking about. We don't want to get into the potassium levels, but low calcium tends to stretch out that QT interval. Mike: I think one question a lot of us who get EKGs are going to ask is what does it mean to have a long or short QTC? Brie has an abnormal QT and you hear a family history like Brie has, that should make you think twice.
