The Future of Software Packaging

Flatpack is a new way to download and install software on Linux. It allows developers to ship the latest features without having to wait for distributions to package it or for users to add something. Some people don't like this format because since you pack everything into a single bundle, you will have duplicate libraries instead of reusing the same library for two or three apps. But today, I don't think that's a big issue with the storage space computers have fair enough.
