In some sense, right now we've constructed this 3D model of this theatre with people sitting there. We assume that that is what it's going to be and unless someone walks in or out of the door and sort of surprises us, our brain isn't really paying attention to it. It's just this is the world that we navigate. That is our model. The actual thing that is out there might in fact be very different. And I think that runs through everything. What we consciously see is both less than and more than it causes out there in the world.
