The first page of the screenplay says, the story will be played for realistic comedy. Tony Curtis really worked the bag on Mathow's sex life. The script tries to make it very clear like play this about as straight as you want,. Like, don't, you know, like the seriousness will help the comedy. It does feel like this is a launching point for them.
