Using the Phrase, Don't Interrupt Me
If someone interrupts me with something non urgent and unrelated while i'm speaking, i say, hold that thought. This phrase provides a mental book mark that makes it easier to remember and return to the interrupted topic. Using this phrase consistently as the interrupt also calls attention to how frequently a serial interrupter talks over others. People appreciate when i am able to say, ok, you were telling me about your mam and her garden and an thank me for returning to their topic. And in an episode three 86, we talked about why it was helpful to find the right metaphor. It's been really interesting to hear about pupils metaphors. Some of these fill a little bit ressive. Good
