Mike: You have to take into consideration that modern religions are unholy marriages between the teachings in the actual text and the secular values they use to interpret those texts. It's not obvious or easy or just you can read off by how well the Christian world is doing and poorly the other religious part, you know, other religious countries are doing. The way people look at it also depends on what era and history you look at.
