Is There a Space for Data Scientists?
In the our square factory, we describe ourselves as punk skeeks and super freaks. We really do want to carve out a space where people feel like, hey, this is a space for people like me. This is a space that's built around problem sets that we can actually take action on. And I would say the other thing to bear in mind is that data scientists, they're brilliant and they're wonderful, but they like hard problems. Even if you give them really hard problems, their attention span can be relatively short compared to the average corporate attention span.
