Open AI: Is It a Good Time to Reflect on It?

Open AI is now everything it promised not to be corporate, class source, closed source and for profit. They have stopped publishing models, code, even papers more more recently. There's no paper on charge GPT. And they did changed from being a nonprofit to being this kind of strange combination of a limited for profit something. The cynical take here is like, look, you launched in 2015 or whatever it was to the world. You sold this very optimistic message. But then all of a sudden we're seeing you close up, become a capped for profit.
