The Battle Between Sony and Nintendo
Sony and Nintendo were battling for the video game market. Sony had been working with an intendo since 19 89 to create a version of the super n e s with a sd drive attachment. The very next day, nintanto dropped a bomb at the same trade show. They announced they would be moving forward with philip's electronics to develop a seedy rom drive that hooked up to the super Zelda play station. As you can imagine, this was a huge embarrassment for sony and set the stage for a future battle between the two companies.
