Afghanistan - A Different Story

As the war in afghanistan dragged on, the west closed its doors. They made travelling as a tourist near impossible. Student exchange programmes were cancelled and they created cruel open air prisons to house unwonted asylum seekers. But many of the countries involved in the war had set up special visa programes for afghans who helped with the war effort. The western governments had finally begun to ease these requirements but there were far more people who wanted to get out than there were spots on planes.
