Be a presence in your market. More than just people know you, is they know about you and who you are at a cor level in what you do. Take the initiativea sometimes unasked so people don't even ask to be connected. Be a connector - connect with others through their work rather than by phone or email. Invite other members of your team to join you for an event that will pay dividends later on. And link-in: If you're a sales person, everybody should be linked in as well.
