"This just feels like a 70s movie that we got like 10 years later," says Christy. "I don't think the new audience being trained with nice 80s movies wasn't used to such hardcore endings and stuff like this" The film was number one when it came out in 1990, but then child's plate two bumped it out of first place so I guess people wanted a more light-hearted horror film."
