The Thick Tip Fastener

The act of fastening will actually knock a piece of that coating off the back side of the steel, and then you create a place where corrosion can start. A fashoner type its out there now that's called blunt tip fastener. It doesn't have a long, sharp tip that would penetrate through the back side. So this is a type of fastener that's specialized for corrosive environments.
