The film invisible hand follows a fight for rights of nature in the rust belt. In grant township, residents used an approach that can potentially work with property rights. The town was fighting the state's decision to allow fra companies to dump radioactive waste underground. Two cases are happening in us as well: John minnesotan and jibway man on land near lake erie.

In several countries around the world, including Ecuador, New Zealand, and the U.S., some people are trying to protect the planet using a legal concept called “rights of nature” – infusing the law with Indigenous understandings of Mother Earth.
