The Origins of the Realist Argument
I don't know enough about the origins of the realist argument. It always seemed to me that there was a kind of vestigial family resemblance to sort of Marxist arguments, which is that individual personalities and great leaders are all distractions. The other interesting note about realism is that even realists have had a hard time explaining the U.S., right? I think there are complicated reasons for that.
