Sufism in the Islamic World

I would say it was first the critical reaction to the established order and then which turned increasingly few very discernible attitudes. So we see in the 12th century for example the rise of Sufi orders which is a totally new development in the history of Islamic world because there was no such community. And we can add to this of course the 11th century catastrophic developments which is the Crusades first and then centuries later the Mongols are coming into this. All these upheavals led to the institutionalization or the organizational advancement or the transformation of individual Sufism into more organizational entities.
