The CIA's Carnal Operations
In one particularly absurd experiment, the CIA set up brothels in San Francisco and hired sex workers to lure men into the brothel and unknowingly give them LSD. The theory was that these johns would be too ashamed to tell anyone what had happened. One agent later said in an interview, quote, you could bring people in for quickie lunch.
