Is It Really an Existential Moment?
The Conservative Party has now lost two prime ministers in the course of this parliament. There is going to be a question about the stability of the building, as I say. The reason it really matters beyond the halls of Conservative Party HQ is because, theoretically, at least, this country could have over two years left of this Parliament and two years of Conservative government up until January 2025. Maybe we won't get there, but we easily could. And if this continues, what's going to be left of people's faith in the democratic system? We'll be back tomorrow.
