"I'd sell something, make a bunch of money. And then we wouldn't do anything for four or five months," he says. "We'd create something, sell it, make a lot of money and that's kind of the model that I was on for a long time" But when someone came in who wanted to be an employee, they kept getting paid every two weeks. Russell: "It became a huge thing -- trying to make money to cover payroll ... It became horribly not fun."
