Leaders need to put in writing a description of their preferred future, not just goals. I think most of us in leadership have this nagging sense of haven't done enough. And i think that's the thumb print of god on the heart of the leader. But because of that, if we haven't clearly defined what it is we're trying to do, the thing in us that wants to do more is what drives us so far into the future.
