When climate change isn't talked about, or portrayed with scepticism, what sort of impact has that had on the public pople who are watching, listening and reading it? I fully agree with everything that mark and mariana have said about the influence of the confusion and the indifference that can lead to misperception among the public. But i would add that it's not enough to get the science communication right. We could all be agreeing on the basic facts that climate changes pening and that we're mostly causing it, and still not get any nearer to agreement on how we're going to be dealing with it. And the reason is that the facts can be so dire that they can crush
