The last 10 years have just seen an incredible expansion of the kinds of things that AI is capable of doing. It's also threatening to replace a kind of worker that hasn't traditionally had much to fear from technology. A study by the Brookings Institution in Stanford analyzed which jobs are first in line to be automated. And what they found was it actually wasn't the blue collar sort of retail or manufacturing or trucking jobs.
