In 1965, the United States immigration policy changed significantly with 1965 immigration reform. Before that, immigration policies have been heavily heavily sort of biased towards white Europeans. And so the 1965 opened the borders in a significant way to immigrants from Asia. That's the immigration flow that my family was was part of in 1972. So already just trickling into that, we were kind of on the front edges of immigration, Asian immigration into Rogers Park.
