The Importance of Demography in New Zealand
All 67 territorial authorities had to submit a long term plan, which took them from 2021 to 2031. And these were forecasts that were the people for whom decline was forecast just said that is not the future. So it's really difficult to begin to unpack all of that and I think what's difficult is the Auckland's a primate city. About a third of the New Zealand economy is generated inside the Auckland economy.
