Introduction

Nehemiah is an author that is deeply concerned with us understanding as the readers that God is a present God who communicates with his people. Nehemiah's faithfulness has led to the completion of the wall. It wasn't to keep people out, it was to bring the people together so that God can bring a reawakening to his presence and to his covenantal promises. This is significant for us as we move into chapter 8.
