'Slits the Thin Spun Life'
i remember iminis in american acan used to say, in slits the thin spun life. And that really stopped with me. Then i went to see one of milton's at ludlow castle and it was a thing called comus. It was steamingly hot, 33 degrees day, and there was a whole line of old age pensioners just carried out,. i mean literally carried out in people's arms, unconscious, fainted by the heat. So that's a great association, i think, to have with any written work. I'm going to begin thare's an aeroplane going over. This is what he says of paradise lost. He wrote
